I enjoyed these little stories, that made up one larger story (still a short and fast read). I was glad to see the pattern it took (being vague here, as I don't want to spoil anything) and that the stories were connected. I've had really good luck with this author's full-length books as well, but sometimes I love to read something short that still packs a lot of punch and, unfortunately, I don't usually get that from short stories. My favorite story is a toss up between Nellie and David, but since I'm such a fan of the "young" voice, I'll choose Nellie. Looking forward to more books and stories from Marilyn Grey!Product details

I have no idea what the rave reviews are all about. I picked up this book because I'd previously read something by this author that I liked. I didn't see the point of this strange little collection of random stories surrounding a letter that passes through various people's hands in this story. The mini-stories are incredibly short and incomplete. I think the author might write the full stories later but I just ended up frustrated and we don't find out what happens to the people who were originally involved in the letter.
I really like this author and she didn't disappoint with this one! I love how the note ties all the stories together. My favorite one was the married couple who found their way back to each other.
This was a lovely quick read. It's amazing the effect one note from a high school student had on so many people. It made them do better and make better choices. I loved it!
It's a great story with amazing characters. You get interested in the characters and are waiting for how this incredible note written by a teenage boy changed so many people and then it's over. Just like that and until the Author gets 100 good reviews she won't share the secret. It only has 14 reviews and all from last year. Hello Marilyn Grey are you still out there?
That was an absolutely beautiful story. Just perfect on such a day as Valentine's Day to read. For all those lovers of Love, the ones feeling lost, all is not forgotten. Some day, some moment in time you yourself will get that little lift of hope and inspiration to carry on and move forward. Never give up! Loved it!! Love to read more about Nellie, Violet, and Joseph. Plus would love to read that inspirational letter. )
This was such a quick, happy, uplifting read. Just like every book I've read by Marilyn Grey, I was sucked in by the end of the 2nd page. It's incredible to see how the funny, immature love of teenagers has the power to effect so many people. The characters all have their own stories, but are all intertwined. Marilyn did a wonderful job of showing the issues that come into play during different stages of life. I read this book in an hour and was left with such a happy feeling at the end. It made me find my husband, give him a big hug and kiss and just tell him that I love him. It made me snuggle up on the couch with my sweet dog and just enjoy his presence. It motivated me to do more with my day. This is a great, motivational, inspirational book that everyone should read!
On the wind....a very beautiful story. The way the story is woven around the lives of so many people and the effects of the wind and rain and the secret letter, its just amazing. I always find Marilyn's work simple yet strong in terms of feelings, values and love.
Its just a very sweet story and i would love to read the story of Nellie and Felton written as a complete novel.. Also Kara's story. I really hope Marilyn thinks to do so! ;)
For all those who want to read a simple and beautiful story in lesser time, its the one to pick!
